Terms of service

§ 1 Scope

These terms apply to the use of CAD Compare (the website cad-compare.com and the MCP plug-in) between WANSU UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“we”) and its users, consumers and businesses alike.

§ 2 Services

CAD Compare compares CAD files in STEP format. The free version can be used without an account. Pro offers the additional features described on the home page. The comparison runs on your device; your files are not transmitted to us. Results are calculated automatically and can be wrong. Check results that matter (for example for production or approvals) against the CAD models.

§ 3 Account, licence keys, teams

Keep your access and licence keys secret. A Pro access and its licence keys are for one person; keys may be used on any number of that person's own computers. In teams each person uses their own seat; seats must not be shared. We may block keys in case of misuse.

§ 4 Prices, payment, term

The prices shown when ordering apply, including VAT. Payment is handled by Stripe. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew for the same period until cancelled; you can cancel at any time to the end of the current period on your account page under “Manage subscription”. The 10-day pass ends automatically. New accounts receive 5 days of Pro once, free of charge; the trial ends automatically and creates no obligation. We announce price changes for running subscriptions at least 30 days in advance; you may then cancel with effect from the change.

§ 5 Availability and changes

We aim for trouble-free operation but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We keep developing CAD Compare and may change features as long as the core of the agreed Pro services is maintained.

§ 6 Rights of use

For the duration of your access you receive a simple, non-transferable right to use CAD Compare. Included open-source components are subject to their own licences, which take precedence over these terms.

§ 7 Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability is excluded.

§ 8 Termination and deleting the account

You can delete your account at any time on the account page or by e-mail to hello@cad-compare.com; cancel running subscriptions first under “Manage subscription”. We may end free use at any time and paid access for good cause.

§ 9 Changes to these terms

We notify signed-in users of changes by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. If you do not object before they take effect, they are deemed accepted; we point this out in the notice. If you object, either side may terminate.

§ 10 Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live as a consumer remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is our registered office.
